Bishop pair vs Strong Bishop on d6.

Which position do you think is better for white? Having the bishop pair or having a bishop on d6?nullnull

i would prefer the two bishops because nf5, 0-0 and eventually getting a rook on d8 to pressure backwards d4 pawn in the second example seems hard to play against. also no good pawn breaks / targets for white.

the "strong" bishop on d6 can immediately be dislodged w nf5

no good pawn breaks cos the possible breaks are b5 and maybe f5 but both are light squares and the bishop u have is a dark sq bishop

i would take the bishop pair here for sure. the knight on d5 is a monster with replacement waiting to jump in case it gets traded but the problem is, black has no good "aim" with the knight. its just there looking fabulous with nothing to do .

black's king needs to get to safety to activate his other rook and has no way of doing so then castling into those mighty bishops. white can take his sweet time, filing the rooks, or expanding on the queenside or planning a sac going ne5 first. black has..... a nice knight not doing much.
