Chess.com membership game review features

Apologies if this is under the wrong category but I was wondering what the difference between the platinum and diamond game review features are. The diamond membership provides coach explanations, the text explaining why a move was good or bad. Is this exclusive to this tier of membership and is it worth it to improve? I'm low elo but want to improve but not sure whether I should justify the price jump from platinum to diamond or purchase books and other resources to improve. If I should get other resources, what would you recommend?

I can justify platinum for the lessons, puzzles and game review (I know I can access puzzles and lessons elsewhere) but the game review feels somewhat important for me to be able to improve. Would it be better to self analyse alongside an engine so I justify why a move was good or bad?

If you're a beginner the text explanation of why a move was good or bad could be very valuable. However, I don't know just how accurate the text explanations are.

It’s ok that it’s in the wrong category. And I like your post! The difference is that the diamond 💎 membership is more expensive pretty much. And by the way what’s your rating?

I was 410, now 485 but I haven't played too many games.

I'm at 1200 and find the game analysis very helpful but get confused by the insights feature. Game shapes and phases just seem like too much foo foo for my level. intend to change from Diamond to Platinum when membership period ends. Save $40 which I can use for Aimchess. problem is i don't think you can switch and get a partial refund, it is 12 months locked in. good luck and just play and review blunders.

@petitchat I got the diamond membership 2 days ago and have already climbed to 630 elo. Partially because of the diamond membership and because of some videos on YouTube from chessbrah and daniel naroditsky climbing ratings.

Hi everyone, I'm a new member, before that I played chess for a short time, but my level was quite low because at that time I was more attracted to online games at website: https://izigames.net/. Now I'm practicing chess again, I want to improve my level, what should I do? hope everyone can help.

As you can see in my last comment I got the diamond membership which I have found quite useful with the lessons and game review + coach explanations, however, it is a considerable amount of money that you need to put forward towards it with the same if not better resources elsewhere. Lichess has lessons and puzzles, a lot of the lesson content can be found on youtube, I'm personally looking at getting some books in the near future so there are other options. For climbing rating and learning principles I suggest Daniel Naroditsky Master Class Speedrun, Chessbrah Building Habits, nklristic's blog, and some of the GothamChess resourses either on his youtube or free chapters of his courses (I'm nearly 700 elo which is quite low in comparison to a lot of players and their are obviously other resources out there but these helped me climb from 449 to 670 elo in about a week). Hope this was useful.
