Can any one tell me how to use computer programmes to improve my games.I have fritz. I don't know how 2 use them.please help

The first thing I suggest is that you first analize your own games without the computer. Once you have done this load the PGN into Fritz. Go to FILE->OPEN DATABASE and select your PGN file. Once it is open select TOOLS-> ANALYSIS -> FULL ANALYSIS and click OK or whatever the menu says. there are some more advanced things you can do, like specify a database for opening analysis, set the time Fritz devotes to each move, but this will get you started. Once the analysis completes compare your notes with those of Fritz.

Python chess under Linux also has the ability to analyze games for you.  Chessmaster probably does too.  That is a pretty neat thing... (after the game is over, obviously!) to see how you might have played them differently.  With a $30 per year membership to chess.com, you can get two analyses per week.  *Then* you need to sit down and study the results.  :-)
