Play better competition.
Critique my game please.

Ha, Thanks Lawyer.
My rating in this is inflated as I usually lose against 1300's.
I usually play 1200's but this game was a mistaken click on the live screen ( i think due to a rapid refresh on the players all of a sudden ) that I decided to play.
Thanks for the comment though.

Pretty good game. lawyer08 is right. It looks like you're ready for stronger competition. You started out with a good space advantage but started giving it away on move 8. The pawn and knight exchanges allowed white to get a better hold on the center while you gave up some of your hold. You didn't have to start the trades. You could have developed your position in other areas and stayed further ahead in development. If white started the trades he would only give up part of his hold on the center.
Well played.

25... b5 = a big blunder.
26. Qd1! attacks the rook and the Queen. so
26.Qd1 Qc5 27.Rd8+ Kf7 28. Rd7+ Kf8 29. Rd8 Draw
If: 28. Rd7+ Kg6
then:
Nh4+ will drive the King forward into whites camp, while gaining a big advantage.

Sebas, I think all that would happen if he followed your line of attack would be remove his queen and rook from his king.

What are you saying? I don't get it... By the way, you played a good game! I didn't mention that yet.

I'm not entirely sure right now, but it looks to me like your opponent could've managed a three-fold repitition around move 33 (edit: on second thought, i take that back)... anyways, well played. As an advice or reminder, watch out for draw games when you have the advantage.

h3 and a3 waste of time, and on move 28..b5 it was equal (says rybka) but on 27.rxc4 it was a good idea but he has that tactic in return that gave him the mating attack so make sure you calculate everything before you do a tactic. Also the spite checks are a little unsportsmenlike just give it up.

Thanks Sebas.
You played a good game as well. Perhaps we could have a rematch at some point.
I tried to compliment your playing in the game but you had chat disabled.
All well.
I looked at your first 10 moves and you are much better developed. Your opponent had not castled and with the king still in the middle I would try and open the middle with maybe f5 on move number 10. You played well up to this point. I would say play different levels weaker and stronger and the same. It is good to expose yourself to many different styles of play. Do not listen to anything negative regarding your play psychology is very important in chess. It is good to accept constructive criticism from a teacher who really wants to help.
Everyone starts at 1200 so you can't always tell by their rating. They could be a master for all you know.
I'd go for 11...f5. It gets your bishop and rook out, but also allows ...e5-e4 which pushes the knight out of the way of f7 and gives you the option of e4-e3, clearing away the e or f files. That, combined w/ the Re8/Qh4 moves should yield a big mating attack. With a lead in development, a space advantage, and a castled king, you should have started sacing pawns to open lines. It's worth the material.
After 17. 0-0, you should pause and come up w/ a plan. Playing Ra2 doesn't do much of anything. Instead, your big advantage is in your bishop pair and your passed b pawn. I'd play b7-b5-b4 etc. Put a rook behind it and make him give up a piece for it. Toss in c6 if you can't push to b4 right away.
After Qxe3+, your opponent gave up the draw w/ Kh1. After bxc4, the queen can start checking on d8+ and d7+ perpetually. On Kg6, Nh4+ wins after either Kh6 Nf5+ or Kh5 mates in 2.
Also where do I find the fen string on the replays of my games.
Thanks for any advice.
