Engine thread meaning

Hello everyone. I am wondering what the "Threads" option does. Just in case you can't find it, it is right below the "Number of lines" option. If I increase the amount of threads, does that mean it analyzes the position faster? If this helps, I have a total of 32 threads.

These are the processor threads used by the analysis engine.

I also have the same question, but your response does not help me understand it.

In chess engines, the "Threads" option allows the engine to analyze the position faster by using more processor threads. If you increase the amount of threads, the engine can analyze the position more quickly, as it can work on multiple lines of analysis simultaneously.
