Hi everyone!

I have been looking for articles or forum posts that helps the <1400's but there is quite few! And if there's several, it rarely includes ful analysis of chess games, so I decided to open this topic and post my own games, explaining every single move. NOTE: I'm only ~1450 so this topic is only suitable for about 1000-1400's. Here comes the first game, will post more, enjoy.

White looks quite a bit better after move 10.

You played pretty well, but you shouldn't be so keen to just trade off your pieces like that.

Nightshadow

At move 12 Black missed Bxg4! which wins instantly. If Qe3, then d4 forking the Queen and dark Bishop. Incidentally, on Blacks 13th move, after d4, he could have played Bxg4 and won as well and the Qg2 was done to prevent that.

KnightNotHorse

As even more of a newbie, I appreciate it all the more, so now I can get an idea of why you made the moves you did.  Thanks so much!

Thanks for the feedback, it's good to know that you like my analysis. More will follow later.

Heejo

nice analyzis of your own game im sure a lot of lower leveled players will find this very usefull

Keldorn

Hi again.

As I promised, I'm here with the next full analysis. Enjoy:

schismatic

going back to the first game, can you explain to me what the trap was that your queen could have found herself in? it's 26. ...Qc3+ i think

Keldorn

Oh yes. I should have put the ?? mark to the move 28... Nc5. This allows Rg6.

Scarblac

In the first game, white could have played 26.Rxh7! winning (26...Kxh7 27.Qxf7+ Kh8 28.Rh1#).

Nice enthusiasm. It's good to post your analyses because you can learn through others' corrections and others can learn from the post.

bigmit37

Thanks for this.

Congrats to this effort K. :) Although you had quite a few notation mistakes in your annotation, mostly naming the rank #'s wrong, ie, calling a7, a2  among many other spots. Nonetheless, very helpful to a beginner, bud. :)

Padschah

At your 9th move. Nc3 -  What would you reply if he plays  Bh3? Looks like you were in trouble

Keldorn

Yeah I missed that move. I would have played g3 of course.

Here comes the third game. Enjoy.

What do you think?
gxtmf1

This was a much better annotation. kudos.

ps: don't we have a new forum for you to post these ;)?

Keldorn

The fourth game.

Just a question, for the first game why did white not play 16. b3, trapping the bishop?

He has to spend a few tempi to trade two of his king protecting pawns for a bishop. It doesn't even look like it's worth it to me.
