Game of the Century Queen Sacrifice

In Fischer's game of the century, Fischer sacrifices his queen on his 17th move, allowing him to set up a windmill and win the match. However, did Fischer have a plan if rather than Byrne playing Bxb6, Byrne played Bxe6? If this is played, Fischer is down a piece in material, will have to move his queen, and then will loose his knight on c3. Do any of you see a good continuation for Fischer if Byrne did play 17.Bxe6. Any input is appreciated.

From chessgames.com:

18. Bxe6 leads to a 'Philidor's Mate' (smothered mate) with ...Qb5+ 19. Kg1 Ne2 20. Kf1 Ng3+ 21. Kg1 Qf1+ 22. Rxf1 Ne2#

if bxe6, then qb5+ which leads to a smothered mate after kg1, ne2+, kf1, ng3 double check, kg1, qf1+, rxf1, ne2 checkmate

Thanks guys. It seems that Byrne had no good continuation.
