How do I see engine moves?

I want to see the moves calculated by the engine. For example when the engine says mate in 11 I want the engine to show me those 11 moves and how the mate happens. I can do that, right?

The Analysis option has a checkbox to show lines.

Yes.

But it's easier if you actually play a game first.

Then when you run the computer analysis you will see some of the things that you missed.

And if you find a mate in 11, it may be marked as brilliant.

You don't want to just let the analysis run from the starting position to find good moves. There are too many choices.

I think I failed to explain my issue here. Let me explain it more clearly with more context info. I created my account today and started playing some puzzles. When on the puzzle screen, I click the analysis button which then opens the analysis board on a new tab. On the analysis board, I can see the engine bar on the left of the board that says +M10 which I believe means mate in 10 moves. So what I want to do here is to see that 10 moves leading up to the mate. The problem is I don't know what button to click to make the engine show me the moves, and that's what I'm hoping to learn here. What do I click to see the moves? How do I see the mate on the board? This is what I'm wondering.

Take a simple case scenario.

You can click on the small mini chessbox at the bottom left of this game box, which opens you up to the Stockfish page. From there, you can view the lines for the mate.

Click on the "show lines" box to look at the computer lines.

Usually, when it says M11 or something, the best move will lead to the mate shown. If you take @eric0022's example, the move that the engine shows is best will lead to the shortest mate

Yeah thanks I finally learned that you need to tick the show lines box and then click on the move to make it appear on the board.

If you're in live watching games, it's not an option anymore.
