How do you make the engine make a variation for ONE move on Scid vs P.C.?

I use Scid, it's cool, but there's a lot of features that just can't replace Chess.com Premium Game Review that I can't use. So after importing a game I played in some random school tournament, I used the annotate button in the engine window. I use Stockfish 9. After manualy annotating it, I found this really bad move that I wanted to see how to improve on. I used the same annotate button, but there wasn't an option to make a variation for this one move. I know that if you make a variation, you can annotate only the variation and give a variation inside the variation, so I pressed "space" to do the best engine move. Of course, that didn't work. Am I missing out on any features, or does Scid vs P.C. not have the ability to make a variation for a single move?
