How is this 12. qxf6/nxf6 a brilliancy from my opponent

Recently I played a rapid game in which my opponent got a brilliancy for taking a pawn 12. qxf6 and if you put it in a analysis board it says that 12. nxf6 is also a brilliancy and I dont understand why they are brilliant moves, yes they are good moves but I dont think they should be brilliant.

Could anyone explain why they are brilliant moves because if you go to game review and click show moves after the brilliant move it just says 13. nxb5.

By the look of it, it hangs a piece and it is a really strong move. What I see is that the best move after that is to take the bishop and Black plays …a6 going to trap the knight

The main point is that you are looking at the wrong things. Whatever reason chess.com has for labeling moves "brilliant" or not does not matter at all, it is just for fun.

The moves you should be looking at are 8. Qb3 (loses a piece), 9. Qxb4 (loses a queen), 23. cxd5 (fails to win a piece). These are blunders on your part that you should not be making in the future.

EKAFC, the point of taking the pawn is that if you move the bishop, the pawn can trap the rook (which you can't save). a6 actually doesn't trap the knight because the d4 square is protected by the f3 knight.

Yea, I know that this was not one of my best games and that I made a few blunders that I should not be makin and usually dont make, I just wanted some opinions on that move as I like to learn from my mistakes in chess and analyze games so I was just curious cause I couldn't find an answer to why it was a brilliant move
