There's nothing wrong with resigning in a lost position.
I hate people like you...

Who resign after getting owned on a single move. Atleast play out the game...
You may find like minded players here. http://www.chess.com/groups/view/spartans-fans
People have the right to resign when they want. I sometimes resign when I go a piece down simply because I'm not interested in playing that game a piece down. I don't understand why people get so upset over the timing of people's resignations.

Seriously, what are you talking about? The game was over. He paid the position you helped to create, a compliment by saying it was lost based on the kind of playing you've already shown. You're acting pretty strange about a show of respect, by your opponent.

It's part of the game.
Some people get irate when you force stalemate, or draw by repetition, others get annoyed when you resign, others when you don't resign.
The problem basically is with the people getting annoyed.

The only thing that annoys me is people who don't accept a draw offer in situations where the draw is forcable.

ha. while wetre getting on about annoyances, im annoyed when players wait till the last second to make a move because they want to delay the inevitable dip in rating caused by a position that is clearly losing. but hate? such a strong word to use in reference to a game.

Another resign thread...why did they resign so early? Why did they not resign when they were supposed to?
Some people enjoy plying on even when they can count on their fingers how many moves til they are mated. I prefer not to waste time when a game has lost its purpose. Some time out or resign because they just don't feel like playing that position anymore.

it dosen't matter resiging i will take a win anyway i can however it is frustrating when you spend 10 moves inithiating an attack you can see with great clarity winning 1 move from mate and youre oppoment resigns

I don't like your comment, calling a player yellow for resigning after 11 moves. very un-sportsman-like. I don't care when my opponent resigns. He/She resigns, I win, I'm happy.

Well put.

the game you posted says the quality is not very good with ridiculos queen sorties moving the same peice time and time again i don't think youre good enouth to start beating down on youre oppoments when u don't understand the game youreself.

sorry to derail the thread, but a question about accepting a draw. Online version of chess I was recently offered a draw, and received an email stating this. When I logged in I had no idea how to accept it, nowhere to click etc. I would have accepted just to get on with things but I didn't know how. So, how does one accept a draw offer in online chess (not live).
Who resign after getting owned on a single move. Atleast play out the game. Theres still a chance to win and it just shows that your yellow and a Sally. Would you say this was a cop out???
