I played 1000 games but my rating is 500

It's my 3rd account. I played 1000 games with people and more then 2000 with computer total. I have done tactics like fork skew on chess app . My problem is the person with whom I play is of generally 500 rating but still he checkmate me. 99% of the time i move my king because it is in check and finally get checkmated.

I m an engineer . Teaches maths for engineering entrance exam . I  ranked 99% percentile in engineering entrance exam in which 1 million students were there.

Only chess is a field where I am zero.

"..., you have to make a decision: have tons of fun playing blitz (without learning much), or be serious and play with longer time controls so you can actually think.
One isn't better than another. Having fun playing bullet is great stuff, while 3-0 and 5-0 are also ways to get your pulse pounding and blood pressure leaping off the charts. But will you become a good player? Most likely not.
Of course, you can do both (long and fast games), ..." - IM Jeremy Silman (June 9, 2016)

English is not my first language. Everything I said is true.

1: whatever you do, just don't listen to people telling you to stop playing blitz and start playing long games. Don't listen to them. If you listen to them, you'll end up wasting lot of your time.

2: Given your rating, most probably your problem is board vision and calculating where the pieces go. So, do some drills with pieces particularly the horse (look up De la maza book). Practice basic tactics and mating patterns like backrank.

I forgot to mention scholars mate & fried liver.

@Ashvapathi - I like your advice for vineet2018 , may I expand it a little? Train board vision on chess.com here. My result is only 26/26 - you can beat me! Train Tactics only on Puzzle Rush at least 3 hours a day. My result is only 28 - you can beat me easily. Play only Bullet games at least 100 a day. I stopped play Bullet on chess.com after 1,343 games. Ask for further advice after achieving Expert class rank evil.png

No man. Chess is not right thing for me.

K_Brown

chess is not right thing = chess is left thing

3 lefts = right

Therefore, playing 3 games should make chess the right thing.

K_Brown

A right is really just 3 lefts made really quick.

Hi. I played 99% of my move randomly. How to play a piece if there are thousands of choices? If i win then it was time win.

My level players didn't read books and all but just playing some days their rating's improve.

This is my third account and I really played 1000 games. If I learn some tactic my opponent don't cooperate.

I beat stockfish at level 1 and 2 but not human players.

My game pattern is ....Develop pieces then castle and then get checkmated. This is my all games.

If you want to play good moves it is not possible to play 99% randomly.

Good moves has an idea behind it. Chess is not like trowing the dice.

Then you can better enter the casino.

Then what exactly is the point of this forum? I mean, you stated you wanted to improve. Then you say chess is not the right thing for you. It doesn't make sense. Are you a OTB player or are you a casual chess player?

Some people aren't as serious, but they just like learning the beauty of the game. It's not like if I go to an OTB tournament and I have some really bad result, it just becomes a huge problem. I am a casual player who plays both online and OTB just for fun. It's just a hobby for me, not a profession, nothing shameful or wrong with that happy.png

I know I'm pretty late to this forum, but I recommend just playing rapid or classical chess (30-90 mins) online, even daily/correspondence. you have more time to analyse. Also, do lots of tactics and perhaps search around Google or YouTube for useful videos or lessons to enhance your game.

Of, course, but my confusion is, he stated he specifically wanted to improve. There is no shame in playing chess for fun! happy.png

The whole point of this forum was I have seen people like who don't know anything about chess and within 4-5 months they get 1000 rating and play good chess. I am playing chess from 2017 but even a 300 rating player beat me. And I dont see any difference in me in last 1 year. I solve tactics and read a book but that was not worked. These 800-1000 players dont read books and take coaching but they improved but I didn't. In video games like cod there is a mission so there is a strategy but here in chess there are so many moves I can't decide the good move . There is no strategy . I want a level of about 1000 so i can play as a hobby.

You should be reading Silman’s books. They are expensive; however, there are many pdf’s online.

yes, I knew that and my advice was specifically targeted for players like you. But, you ignored it. 😋

I lost in 4 moves. After so much preparation.
