Here's a game review I completed on a 30+30 game. I had the white pieces and faced the Dutch Defense, trying out a kingside fianchetto with Nh3 setup.

Interested to hear your thoughts! My biggest takeaway was that I need to spend more time looking at alternative moves.

I think that the Dutch Defene is more or less refuted?

Not a Dutch expert but I do recall that 7...c6 is theory, where Nf4 can be met with ...e5. When I do play the Dutch, my personal preference is to be able to play ...e5 and keep a pawn on e5.

Btw Matt, I really enjoy your articles on rating improvement. Is there any chance you could do one on which types of chess training will work well for different age groups? happy.png

Thanks! We are planning a new survey for 2021 and if we get enough data I'll see if we can form different recommendations based on age. Great idea!
