I wouldn't consider 800 ratings as intermediate chess player, instead somewhere between 1500-1800.

Give the OP some credit. He completely outplayed his opponent, and won as a result. To the OP: you played much better than your rating, and used some very nice tactics. Keep up the good work. - Gerik

You played well above your rating suggests you were also pretty determined to open up the g file by sacrificing your rook which worked out pretty well
Remind me never to play you to get in some quick practice as I would think the game would be lasting a bit longer than expected
