good!
Ljubomir Ljubojevic vs Viktor Korchnoi, Linares 1985, 1-0. A Queen sacrifice

Afternoon mate - great to have you back. This is a really beautiful game - Ljubo was a fine player.
I did a lot of work on the 7.Qg4 line back in my correspondence chess days!! 17.g4 was indeed credited to Ljubocevic. 19.... Raf8 was considered poor, because of this game - 19...e5 being considered an improvement. However, 20... gxh5 looks wrong to me. 20...Rg7. looked O.K. for Black. Fascinating stuff mate, and the video is fine!!
Take care. Simaginfan.

Hi simaginfan!! Maybe you're right. I thought 20.... Nxd2 followed by ...e5 opening the files
On reflection, 20...Nxd2 may well be good!. Back in the day when we did 'analysis by hand', giving up a strong looking Knight for a 'bad bishop' was not the first thing you would look at. In that case perhaps White has to retake with his king. Fascinating position!!😁👍. Well , after the Queen sacrifice in the game, I think White is winning. I haven't looked at this line for 25 years!!!🤣🤣. Take care mate. Simaginfan.
A game I've tracked recently. When Queen is sacrificed, it seems an almost obligatory move. However, probably it was chosen 2-3 moves before, when there was an alternative option. Going through the game, I could see the upcoming Q sacrifice. What I couldn't see with a first look is the advantage white had afterwards. Could it be called a positional sacrifice?

I've also made a short video. If you bother watching it, please share an opinion, if this kind of voiceless video is pleasant to watch.
