I was playing around with analyzing a game in Lucas Chess, and I Saved the game. It saved it as a .pks file. When I returned to LC a bit later, I couldn't get LC to open the game. Does anyone here know what other programs might be able to open .pks files? Thanx!

Lucas Chess offers you to save games in .pgn format which every chess software I know of can read. So that is the format of choice.

.pks is a strange format, I don't know the purpose of it and it is no ascii format like .pgn. It might be used by some chess program though or as Rob3rt has indicated some non chess specific database software.

.pks are lucas chess files, they have all information of one game in a format that the program knows. In this moment, only analysis is saved (+ all info in a pgn).

To open them, Tools, Create your own game, Open, File,....

Then you can save from Utilities to pgn if you want.

Is there any way to save our analyzed games with graphical commentary like arrows and highlighted squares in pgn or fns format. I know how to create arrows and highlight squares in lucas chess ,chess.com, and in Lichess but  I'm unable to save them in pgn or fns .

Is there any possible solution for this

Once my file is in a .fns format on lucas chess, how can i view it and edit it? Or alternatively, how can i convert a .fns back to a .pgn file?

If the fns file is in the UsrData\Personal Training folder or one of its subfolders, they can be accessed from the program, Train, Training positions, Personal trainings, ....
