Please, would someone analyze my game?

I've wanted some analysis on my games for a long time now, and now that I've joined Chess.com, I hope I can get at least one analyzed.

Thank you in advance.

Not bad but the game could have ended much quicker.

19...Kd8 might have not been a good idea. You blocked in your Rook.

Here's a good combo at the end, if you did Kf7 instead of Kd8.

Here are some of my quick thoughts in playing through the game (my browser is giving me problems with the pieces so I may have missed something)

...Nh5 is not a good move. The opening is now a Pirc/Modern type. Moving the same piece twice so early is strategically incorrect. I would have 0-0 instead

The plan of ...f5 is also not something I would have attempted here. You are opening up the position before you have finished development.

Your opponent's a3 is not a move that I understand and his follow up with c4 is a mistake

Instead of his Rxd5 I think Nxg5 is quite good attacking your rook and threatening Nxe6+

Nice use of the Knight fork to exchange pieces

Thanks for the other advice, it really is helpful, but I believe the knight taking g5 would have given him checkmate with my #Rh1.

And thank you Covus! I had thought about that move, but figured he wouldn't have played g3 if I had moved there.

You are correct--Nxg5 allows Rh1 mate

Nice game. after 12...Nxd4 I really like black's position (even if I would have played something different, I'll mention that later)

, and I consider white's reply Bxd4 to be a blunder.

13.cxd5 is practically the only move. and the position is...well, you still have a nice position, but he's not ruined, and it's a very long game.

After his Ra2, it's already over.

Funny thing - could have been over with 22...Bxf3 - unavoidable mate on h1:)

You're just as winning after your move though, and he didn't seem to get another chance:) Well done.

Your 12th move - 12...NXd4, you say "Can't let this diagonal open" before you play it, but you've just mentioned you want to castle queenside anyway (in the real game you actually stay in the center...so lets look for interesting alternatives:

The crazy 12...e5!? is ...well, interesting. lets see:

13.cxd5 Nxe3 14.fxe3 Qxg5 15.dxc6 Qxe3+ and white can't avoid the exchange of queens because of Kf1 Bd3+ and forced mate:) so immediately opening the diagonal isn't possible (and the line looks forced to me after that).

The whole idea is that the g5 knight is hanging, so the other pawn capture is impossible too. What else though for white? if he tries to maintain the knight there with 13.h4 then 13...exd4 14.Bf4 Qe7+  There would follow ...h6 and dxc4... white has no time to do anything here. He'll be lost with or without exchanging queens.

Just seems to give white less options than the Nxd4 idea, and all because it attacks the g5 knight.

Very nice game, you did punish him nicely for his mistakes.
