It's generally agreed that the queen is worth 9 points. Chess.com should also value it at 9 points. Where did you get the idea that Chess.com values it at 8 points?

I've seen essentially everywhere I look that a queen is worth 9, sometimes even 10, points. So why does Chess.com value it at only 8?

The strength of a queen can vary. A queen which is trapped and cannot evade capture the following move probably has a value of close to zero.
