The titled action happens at move 11. I have included commentary throughout the whole game.  Please review, and let me know what you think of the game, and let me know if there are flaws in my thought processes, as expressed in the annotations.  THANKS!  - jaypac

I thought a fork is when you attack at least 2 pieces?
jaypac

(whether or not they are hanging)

(and it doesn't matter their relative material weight)

So, if they are protected but they are of greater value, it isn't a fork?

This confuses me - in this game, both the King and Queen had pieces that would recapture anything that attacked them but it is still a fork.  I just checked in IGM Yasser Seirawan's book, "Play Winning Chess", and he defines it as "a simultaneous attack on two or more pieces by one enemy piece".  Why does attacking protected pieces mean it isn't a fork?  Can you explain again, please? THANKS!

Oh, and "family fork" - is that K, Q, & R?

Um... I'm probably just being blind here, but I can't see any quadruple forks at move 11...

I'm here 7 years later to say that you aren't blind, there is no quadruple fork. Thank you, and have a great day

#9 there are none. The night could only reach one opposing piece.

#11 knight not night. How do you edit your messages in this thing.

My observations - Reducing material is clearly the thing to do but at some point you need to start chasing the King. I found this line (31.Qb7+ etc.) by doing just that chasing the King!
