The last game American Chess legend Bobby Fischer ever lost was against Boris Spassky played on the 29th of October 1992.
This game was part of the Fischer versus Spassky rematch with USD 5 million of prize money, of which 3.65 million for the winner. The match was unofficially labeled World Championship. But this did not get any recognition as such in the chess world. As there was no qualification process and they were in playing strength not the top of the world at the time.
The match is not less interesting as in this game Spassky displayed overall strong play, good endgame technique, and a worthy finish of the game with a Bishop sacrifice.
