In the sequence below, black (myself) is doing horribly bad, yet when white unfortunately blunders, the natural move for black, which is by no means any sign of genius, was labeled by the game review AI
as a great move?! Are they kidding or is the AI very limited in its capabilities? At best the move should have been labeled something like "ok, you did the obvious right move, therefore you are not a complete moron..." instead of "great move". I lament the poor quality of the AI, and I hope there are some serious development ongoing to make it much better.
Essentially it depends on the possibile moves in the position
- Great Move is a new move classification that is denoted by a single exclam (!). These are moves that were critical to the outcome of the game, such as going from losing to equal, equal to winning, or finding the only good move in a position. Similar to Brilliant moves, we are more generous on what we call a Great Move for new players compared with high-rated players.
I know there's continual work going on around the review process to make it betterm
