The spider and the fly
This game shows a very good attack. Black's bishop is the fly. He is focused on the rook and doesn't see the spiderweb in which he will get stuck.  Can he escape or will he be eaten? See it yourself.

remarks that can improve my game or my analysis are more than welcome!

I very much enjoyed your comments on the game.

I am clearly no expert, but I feel like fianchettoing your bishop as black in a ruy lopez situation is just too slow as far as your development goes. And as you noted, you were pretty far behind in development.

Also, seeing that trapped rook and going after it with your bishop is what my instinct would tell me to do, and its really hard to say that you shouldn't go for that, altho it does significantly reduce your king's defences, so thats a very tough call.... I guess me saying all that really doesn't help at all does it? Oh well. Thanks for posting the game.

@jason17: your comments are very helpfull. I am glad you enjoyed the analysis. I chose for fianchettoing because I had to park my bishop before I had the possibility to castle.

@NM Tonydal: do you agree that 13...f5 was the best move here?

If you play black, it is always hard to get the c8-Bishop out!
