A couple of points to consider: on 21. ... Ng4 you played 22. Be3 but simply 22. QxN wins the knight for free. Also, instead of 31. Qxh4+ consider winning your opponent's Queen by 31. Qd8+ Kh5 (or else he loses the Queen immediately) 32. g4+ and his Queen is lost.

As for opponents making mistakes everyone makes mistakes in games. The trick is to make your mistakes smaller and smaller over time. Hanging a Queen is an immense mistake, losing a minor piece is a smaller mistake, losing a pawn is even smaller. After a while you start worrying about things like good and bad pawn structure, controlling certain squares, etc. instead of losing pieces.

Well, for sure both of you made a lot of mistakes in that game but your oponnent made indeed much more...your biggest mistake was not take sooner advantage of his mistakes (21...Ng4?? 22. Qxg4)...

For what i know of this site, you can bet you will reach 1400 or even 1500, but you must try to take good advantage of the time you got and look for the best move...ever!

For ex. 8. Ng5 was a premature atack (it leads to nothing), 17.Nc5 was obviously a mistake (since you loose one or two pawns) and, after 22. Be3 (instead of 22.Qxg4), against good play on the black side, you still have to try hard to even draw:

For ex. 22...Nxe3 23. Rxe3, Rxe3 24.fxe3, Re8 25.Qf3, Re6 followed by 26...Qe7 and the "e3" pawn will always be a problem for white to keep...

you could have won that game earlier by going g4, instead of taking his pawn with your bishop...... just letting you know
