Wild Englund Gambit Game

Interesting and quite wild blitz game with the Englund gambit.

It worked really well until moves 24 and 25 when I horribly blundered my way out of a winning, and then a slightly losing position (I blame time pressures).

I won on time (i.e. actually lost and was lucky me and my opponent were both too short of time to think properly) and was really disappointed I let this game slip through my fingers - especially as I was tempted to play the correct move on #24 and chickened out of it due to a desire to exchange queens due to concern over whites a1-h8 attack. #25 was just horrible.

I wouldn't go past that point - it's a comedy of errors from both players due to lack of time, and without time pressure white would have run easily
