I used to be really into chess back when I was 11, 12 years old. I played for my county and I was on the fringes of the England squad. But then I didn't play for years and my play unsurprisingly suffered a lot as a result. However, thanks to chess.com and gameknot.com (where I played this particular game) I'm starting to get back into the feel of things.
This is a recent game I played which I was pretty satisfied with. Obviously there were lots of things I could have done better but the ending, starting with a flamboyant queen move (not exactly a sac), was the most satisfying I've had for a good ten years.
Yes, tonydal, I originally played 20... Qxg2 knowing that White could avoid the mating net, but I figured that the material benefit from windmill checks would even up the position despite being the exchange down.
