A nice game i played with an odd move order, not sure if alot of people use this opening. Still i like it :)

Nice game but it is titled a Center Game.  Isn't it some sort of gambit instead?

To me the Center Game would be 1.e4 d5 etc.

Maybe I am wrong.

That is the centre-counter game, Taichung. Crushing win, zomgep! Nice jobSmile

Ok, thanks!!

But it transposes to an offbeat Petroff (1.e4 e5 2.d4 exd4 3.Nf3 Nf6 is usually reached by 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.d4 exd4 -- although 3...Nxe4 is considered the better move there).

And 4.Bc4 would make it the Urusov Gambit of the Bishop's Game! (1.e4 e5 2.Bc4 Nf6 3.d4 exd4 4.Nf3)

The Centre game proper is e4 e5 d4 ed4 Qd4 which is a very dangerous weapon if you know how to use it. Check out the games of Shabalov and Jack Rudd. Your game shown isn't really the CG as it transposes quickly into a line of the Petroff usually from the move order e4 e5 Nf3 Nf6 d4 ed4 when I think that e5 is the main move. In the game I think 6...Qb4 should have been met with c3? Defending b2 with the queen. Otherwise I really loved the kinghunt at the end :-)

Heres some crazy Centre Games:

And finally a particually crazy Jack Rudd game.

I think 12.Nd6+ wins faster: 12...cxd6 13.Bg5 and now the Ne7 can't be defended anymore, and 13...Kd8 fails to 14.Bxe7+ Kc7 15.Qc4+ Kb8 16.Bxd6#; ...Qb4+ doesn't help because White blocks with c3, attacking the queen.

And I don't see how ...Kf8 or ...Ke8 can survive.

Oh wait, Black has 15...Kb6, where White is also two pieces up and the king is chased into the open, but that's similar to your game. So perhaps 12.Nd6+ isn't better.
