Hi lovers of weird chess positions,
this position popped up in an analysis of a game I recently played:
One king. Two queens, One rook. Two bishops. Three knights. And four pawns. All neatly squashed in a 4x4 square.
Unfortunately, it's not from the actual game. The above position came after 8 best-move plies with Stockfish starting from a game position.
The closest actual in-game position to this madness is the following, with only 11 pieces:
Enjoy
If anyone has equally dense positions, I'd be glad if you would share them!
PS. This is my first post, I hope it's fine. I have checked the community standards but if I have overlooked anything, pray message me.
