Ok I read the first sticky saying not to post games that aren't interesting but I havn't played in years and I was wondering if I could get a little feedback on my play. I was white, so if any of you have a spare 15 mins then be my guest to be brutal.

No insult intended but it is probably more instructive to not pick on this game  move by move, as it is simply sloppy.      Your king rook manuver was a waste of moves and weakening. Rooks are poor in the center and tend to get kicked around and trapped by pawns.  Your opponent not exploiting it was luck.  Your initial center pawn moves were solid and correct permitting good bishop development and you should have gone in that dirrection.

I would agree with the pawn. Just play for awhile, and get your bearings there. Read some of the articles here in the meantime as well, and then post a game. No quick road to improvement in this game.

Cheers guys for the advice. I see what you mean about the rook play. I had this master plan involving my bishops which kind of went ary and I felt a bit forced into the final few moves I made.

Now after move 15 when I move my pawn up one spot, is that the right move there? I spent a fair bit of time thinking about several different options.

I doubt that your 16 d5 led to a sound enough attack to merrit a knight sac, although it is complicated and succeeded.  It seems to me that black needed either 19...O-O-O which he might actually get away with despite his open queenside or 19...Be7) followed by castling kingside should have solidified his game.  (20 Qxg7 Bf6 traps your queen.) You can, of course, recover your piece with 20 cxd5 O-O, but I think black should get the stronger game from there.  In the played line,  22...Nxe3 gives black all sorts of discovered and double check posibilities for his next move.

Black missed a clear 14...f6 winning a clear piece.

On the othe hand, in your line, you might have done well with 17 N(f3)-d4 Qd2  and I think you could keep your piece and get a good attack, and I suppose I have given you the move by move analysis that I thought was better left undone.
