d5 is one of blacks most important resources in gambit openings. (Same goes for white with d4)
Btw the plan you show is slightly faulty according to a Schlecter-ish defence.

very similar to the Smith-Morra trap. Plus, although if you play the gambit regularly the opportunity will rarely crop up, all your moves are natural looking( excepting dropping a pawn);
