dont u hate this?

I used to, but then i realized people often did it to soften the blow to their pride that comes from losing.

I dont hate it, u still know that u would have mate him, he knows and everybody who looks at your games can see that u would have mate him.

Most people hate it when you DON'T resign after something like losing your queen. I stick it out till the end personally.

im trying to do what you do camdawg. i dont like resigning, even if loss is inevitable.
it gives a poor sport sense to the game, so im trying to not do it anymore.
and even, when i do lose my queen and stick it out, as it's happened a few time, i've come very close material wise.

They can view it however they want but I myself like the feeling of accomplishment that comes from a victory in which I have checkmated the enemy king. It doesnt feel like you have earned it so much when they just resign and give up.

On the other hand, it's a slap in the face. To a seasoned veteran, when a player doesn't resign when faced with mate in 1, he's saying "I don't think you are good enough to win this position/see the mate in 1."

I don't hate it. Sometimes its nice if you have a crushing advantage and instead of having to play out the next x number of moves, they resign so you can either go on to the next game or just do something else.
Whether or not I resign depends on the course of the game. If I'm just getting stomped I resign. If there's been mistakes on both sides I play it out, because there's a decent chance they'll let the advantage slip back my way.
