I know your pain!  I was high flyin' in the 1800s but it was too good to last... dropped down to the 1400s and now climbing up again.

what was wrong with ...30. Rxg7 ?

oh man ADK, I share your pain....as you already know I am in the same position.

the hung peices were poisoned to promote the pawn. 30 Rxg7 is probably the best line but the pin forces the rook trades next turn and my pawn is one move away from promotion.

Another you may have seen is to take the bishop but that automatically promotes the pawn after the rook trades.

On that second post I meant take the bishop with the pawn move 26

You don't need to brag about your win.  I'll say this much.  There were mistakes by both sides.
