I believe your 31st move could have been a checkmate if Nc4#. It does not matter anyway.

immortalgamer

ah yes very true.

unique opening though...I'm sure would have gotten me into trouble against a better player

shuttlechess92

horrible opening O.O

but the idea with the 2 knights penetrating the king side and causing trouble is creative, as is your pun.

nice game!

Yes...but you know me I like to try things in the opening because it throws people off and they have to start thinking right away....

What would be more helpful is what would you have played and did I completly give my advantage away as white at anytime or did I just give equality up to soon?

i am not too booked with this opening, but 2... g4!? is an interesting gambit to seize the initiative.

I dont like 11. Bh5.  with a 1 pawn advantage, White should have been focusing on unraveling his disastrous kingside with i.e. 11. Nh3 then 12. f4, intending 13. Nf2.

your refutation, 11...Qc8 deserves a !  because of the continuation 12. ...Bg4!

of course 13. Ne2 walked right into 13... Ne3.  After this, you created a "knight bind" (my own term) by creating devastating mating nets - leading to White to sacrifice his knight.

the fact that you coordinated your knights so well is a nightmare for that opponent. all in all, 2..g4! as well as taking advantage of weak moves allowed you to win with such a beautiful posture.

Oh my gosh I just realized I said I was white...of course I'm black...when I flipped the board I got confused :)

Thanks for the short analysis shuttle I always appreciate your comments

How about 17. where you could have forked the king and queen...

immortalgamer
