My best game yet

This is not my best win yet, but it is the game I felt that I played the strongest.

I have only been a member here for a few weeks so I am not very good at chess and am still learning, so any and all help and critique will be appreciated

Sorry for the triple post but this is another game I felt I played to the best of my ability, I would also like critique with this game.

Thank you very much.

Well done. For your rating it's quite an achievment to keep focused on your plan despite the material threats going on. Specially towards the ending of the game... when you ignored the white knight to win tempi for your winning attack on the king. A bit crazy over the opening, but still quite a solid play.Smile

Thanks, how would you reccomend I play my openings? Since your right that one did seem a bit wonky.

Actually the only move I'd have played differently in that opening as black is after 4. e5 Just take the pawn with Nxe5. Not only do you get in a material advantage with no compensation for him, but also moving your knight a second time to e4 was risky. He could have played d3 and win time while developing.  He shouldn't have taken your knight... it's usually not a good idea to trade off a fianchetto bishop without knowing you'll get an advantage out of it, since the pawn structure remains weakened.

And yes tonydal is right too. Rxe6 was a good move for white... and if you think of it, quite natural too since his rook is under attack. You'd get into deep trouble if trying to take the queen out of danger: After 26 Rxg6 + ....... ; 27Qxh5! and forced mate next move with Qh7.

Nice game! You played quite a few fab moves. The only thing I noticed is beware of things like 12 g4. I think you realised it the move after.

I prefer bishops but you couda picked up a pawn if you played 15. ... Bxf3

16. Qxf3 Qxe5. Nice game!

White probably wins with 25 Rxe6.

Oh I see the rook backed up with the knight, that would have been a very good move.
