Oh no my queen

So, I was playing on Lichess anonymously, and decided to try an "Oh no my queen!" (Inspired by IM Eric Rosen's video on it), so I played a 3 minute, and to my delight, it worked!  I had been waiting for a while for this to work.  Here's the game.

Now keep in mind, I don't know how strong this person is, and am not trying to showcase skill, just a neat trick.  "Hanging" my queen had never been so fun.  Post your other games in which you sacrificed for a win!

Nice game but Ne5 is a huge blunder if black isn't greedy and takes your knight on e5. I would play it so: ( after Nc6)

Wildekaart

When you watch one video of Eric Rosen oh-no'ing his queen and by good fortune you replicate that moment.

With a big essence on the words 'good fortune'. Ne5 is simply losing after Nxe5. By the way, this knight-to-e5 move is by far the most common mistake people make when attempting a queen sac this way. The golden rule is "Nc6 = no", since Nxe5 will also always defend the bishop on g4.

Look i'm not trying to analyze this game super deeply.  I just thought it was funny.  I understand your criticisms and observations, but you have to understand that this game was a complete joke.

but your advice is helpful!

I agree. I also just had a game like the above one.

I also realize that Ne5 is a huge blunder, but it's anon. casual on Lichess, so I don't really care.

Or we can just play for fun and don't even have to be anonymous, blunders and all LOL I mean, look at my record or whatever it's called.  I honestly don't even know how to achieve checkmate. I blunder constantly, make so many mistakes, get my butt kicked almost every game...but what a privilege to connect with smart brains around the world whenever i want! Cheers for fun!

The Sea Cadet Mate is also a "oh no my queen" checkmate, but the move where you oh no your queen is acreage

MyNameIsNotBuddy

not acreage, I meant the best move

Instead of playing 5.Nxe5 I'd of played 5.Qb5, but I only looked at it for like 4 second's.

When I’ve watched Eric Rosen and heard his declare, “Oh No! My queen.”

This has been the position. Image from Explorer and my games as Black. According to the site, I’ve won from this position with Black five times, always in eight moves for the whole game.

Your version also has a long history and I’ve had plenty of games with the same checkmate.
