I feel sort of lame for posting my amateur game in the showcase section, but I felt proud of this win. Wasn't an easy one for me. Any comments/criticism/analysis welcome. Check out when his rook gets completely blocked in by my pieces I thought it was pretty funny (not in a haha I'm so good way, just amusing thing I've never had happen before).

On move 28, black can play Nxf4+ and white must recapture with the rook (then black can get his rook out of jail, as happened later in the game). I think white should look for a way to prevent this. As you say in the intro, having the rook trapped is like being up the exchange - I say spend a lot of effort to keep it that way.

Heh yeah it would have been a big advantage if I'd held on to it. I was so tickled that his rook was immobilized, that I didn't even consider he might find a way to break out. The knight move completely surprised me, guess this highlights an error in my thought process.

Why white is  not playing Nd7 on move 42 making a fork for the Black King and black rook?
