Hello all. DragonMasterFury here bringing another showcase collection of games to the chess world. This is yet another game vs a friend of mine at a local club I go to. He prefers to keep his name unmentioned so I shall respect his wishes and I ask that you do the same :). This game is one of my favorites. I am playing white against the Sicilian Najdorf. Primarily the move that Bobby Fischer himself has used many times. Bc4 otherwise known as two names. The Fischer Sozin attack and the Linpinsky Attack!!! :)

Can't Black just play 11. ... Nxd4 12. Qxd4 d5 (with the obvious Bc5 threat)?

I'm not convinced that the moves Bc4 + Bg5 + O-O (by White) all fit together.

Bg5 usually works best with O-O-O (by White).

On-topic, here's an old one of mine:

Yes you are correct. He could have done the move 11.... Nxd4. I had taken that into consideration and felt that even with the threat of Bc5, I could defend well enough to compensate. Or maybe it wouldn't have worked. To your comment about the kingside castling as well as the Bg5 after Bc4, I was taking a risk there. A large risk. I was trying to form an attack on the kingside as quickly as I could. I wanted to try to use my Rook on the kingside to add some support.

Most of the time I place my Bishop on e3 as you did and I castle Queen side. Thank you for sharing the game and sharing your comments.
