9 . . . d5 instead of h6 is pretty crushing for you :-). If black would have played 11... Knight anywhere but H5 he is fine (he could ultimately get back to g5 and then hitting f7 (or if bothered by the H-pawn play Ne6.

Yes..."if" only he would have been as good as you maybe he would have won. However I find that the psychological pressure of being in the game (in the moment) is always more difficult to handle than stepping back and analysing the game from behind a desk.
However, you are correct he would do quite well after d5, but of course there are to many pieces on the board still for me to pull something out of thin air and I am okay being down a piece in a game because it makes me think more creatively...and should I lose...I just shake hands and "poof" the board is back at the start.
Play for the art not the science and chess will be a happy mistress.
Yeah I hear you... I travel a lot too... there is nothing better than the joy of showing up to a random chess club and crushing their regulars... or at least giving them a difficult game...
I'm sure you had to answer the lines of questions
"So how did you hear about us?"
"You have a USCF or Fide Rating? What is it?"
I always say... "I rarely play chess.... I play on the internet... I can't recall my rating... its been a while." lol

Oh, uh, a swallowtail mate is where you mate with the queen right next to the enemy king, and the two retreat squares the king would normally have are blocked by friendly pieces, as in your game and http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1043999 (example).

The only thing is you cannot reward yourself a double exclamation for that pawn promotion. I mean you can, but it isn't a double exclamation, because it is the obvious move.
