At one time, my ELO on chess.com was around 1800. Then life got busy and I lost a bunch of games on time, and my ELO dropped to the 1400s. I couldn't seem to get out of that hole, so I stopped playing for a while and watched videos. Not wanting to embarrass myself, I started playing bots before tryint a real game. First bot rated 1500 I beat handily, though not elegantly. Then I stepped up to a 1700 bot, and this happened (no idea why it rated me 400 at the beginning. Stockfish rated accuracy at 92.8% and an ELO of 2150). I haven't figured out how to annotate moves, but it blundered on move 5, figuring I'd answer Nxd4 with Nxd4 and he could play Bxb5 -- overlooking the Zwischenzug Bxd7+, the kind of hasty play you find at that level. 26.... re8 was another blunder, losing the exchange.
