These are the games right now that I believe should be in the discussion for greatest games ever played.
Kasparov - Topalov
Fischer - Byrne
Fischer - Spassky game 6
Anderssen - Kieseritzky
Karjakin - Anand.
Let me know of any games you think that should be considered for greatest ever.
Lyudmil_Tsvetkov

None of those, the greatest chess games are computer ones.

Bogoliubov - Alekhine , Hastings 1922,

Alekhine sacrificed both Rooks and his Queen, promoted a Pawn to a second Queen, sacrificed it, promoted a Pawn to a third Queen, sacrificed it, and was advancing a Pawn to promote to a fourth Queen when Bogo resigned.

Not one you would call great but really interesting:  Micheal Stean vs Walter Browne ( Nice  1974 ).

Sicilian_Homo

Wilhelm Steinitz vs Curt von Bardeleben
"The Battle of Hastings" (1895)

Actually Botvinnik vs Tal.

As far as I'm concerned, the best game (and the best move being Black's 28th move) I've seen is Schmid - Gligoric, EU-chT, Hamburg 1965

All of the ones you guys have mentioned are weak. This one is the real deal:

Impressive.  I like Serper v Nikolaidis 1993 and Diemer v. Trommsdorf 1973

shivank2005

as per me.....  the one of the greatest game was the "king hunt"or "king move in middle blocked position". i think you may have mentioned it on 1st comment.

How about Gurgenidze-Tal 1957, probably the best Benoni ever played.

"The Opera Game" Paul Morphy vs Duke Carl and Count Isouard.  Shows how to create an unstoppable attack using all of your pieces in tandem.  Granted it is a short game but chess games during that time were relatively short based on the Romantic style of chess that was in favor at that time.
