How To Lose With 100% Accuracy

This is the Blackburne Shilling Gambit:

The reason both players had 100% accuracy was because every move played was a book move. Apparently, the gambit (if played perfectly) is comprised of only book moves. Chess.com's analysis engine counts book moves as 100% accuracy moves, so even though white lost, they still played with 100% accuracy.

Lmao I didn't actually think this was possible. Thanks for posting this.

It's easy even with a real game. Just let one player always play the first choice by the outdated, low-depth engine of chess.com, and the other player play with the the latest version of either Stockfish or Leela at high depth. Then obviously the better engine will win, but since the losing side played in full coincidence with the reference engine used to evaluate the moves, it will have played at 100% 'accuracy'.

The accuracy scores don't mean sh*t, they are just there to attach numbers to games and give people something to aim for, so that they spend more time playing on this site.

Chess.com modified the system so this doesn’t work anymore.

Now it’s 46.9% accuracy.
