18 Queens is Possible

Here's a game that results in 18 queens, with the rooks on the board as a bonus. This was very Tedious to construct.

FortunaMajor

Can you do that under 100 moves?

EndgameEnthusiast2357

Yeah, I can. It takes alot of manuevring to get the queens and kings where they should be. I will re-attempt.

FortunaMajor

Good luck!

The most satisfying game in chess ever

Here U go, 91 moves! I optimized the moves by moving queens to the 2nd rank as soon as possible to the 2nd rank before promoting other pawns. This saved moves because I didn't have to deal with  maneuvering the queens around without checks or pinning other queens to the kings.

You have too much time on your hands.

Lol.......Doesn't look like it is with best play though.

Who's better here? Has anybody analyzed this game using a computer chess program such as Stockfish?

Also, is 3.Nb6 a novelty? Looks interesting but slightly weakening for white.

FortunaMajor

Awesome!

Bro, I just started college. I just have a 5 hour break between classes on 2 days, so yeah, I have some time free.

obviously, I could promote the pawns to knights instead of queens. It would be way easier.
