1960 Ohme Chess No. 108 Pieces did they come with a board?

I came across a 1960 Ohme Chess No. 108 box with a complete set of pieces. I have not examined each piece yet, but a quick glance they all appear to be in good shape. My question is this, did Mr. Ohme design a board to go with his minimalist pieces?
Any information that you can provide will be greatly appreciated. The board sits on a wood frame, the top is clear "plastic" and are supported by three cross bars.
