19th Cent. Ivory Macau chess set

HI

some years ago I inherited an incomplete Macau-style chess set.  It's unusual in that the pieces are green and red, with the green pieces having white heads.  It belonged to my great-great-grandmother, and she got it from her uncle.  How do I go about selling this?  Is eBay off-limits?  I have posted some pictures below, including a picture of my great-great-grandmother.  I'm not a chess set collector and only a casual player at best.  I'm not actually sure of the material - I've never handled something like this - it could be bone.

Beautiful set.  I haven't a clue how to sell it, but yes Ebay no longer accepts ivory listings.  Apparently most of the illegal ivory trade was being done through Ebay with false provenance so they stopped accepting listings.  Pretty sure it's illegal to ship ivory internationally as well.  Sorry I couldn't be more help....

With a set like this, I would go to a antiqair. Get it taxated by a pro, but make sure he knows you're not selling it to him.

Nice set! I wouldn't sell it at all, it's a family heirloom
