1.d4 e6

Trying to transpose into a french if my opponent decides to play the logical e5. My question is, after 2.c4, is there some good move other than d5? I would really like to avoid the QGD, because it is very likely that a d4 player knows the theory. So, 2...c5? 2...Nf6 becomes a Nimzo, which I am considering. But my intention is to take White completely out of his comfort zone, and with something not very theoretical if possible.

u can try to play f5 the dutch defence maybe transpose into a stonewall dutch or a classical dutch

You can play 2...Nf6 and still not play the Nimzo. It's useful to make them blink and play 3.Nf3 to avoid the Nimzo and then you can just play 3...d5 anyhow and they've already committed to certain limited lines they may not actually want to play.

Or you could just play either 2...f5 or2...c5

Check out the English Defense or the Dutch Defense like singam95 suggested. Both are similar and you can get some very interesting games. GM Simon Williams has videos on both of these openings here on chess.com.

If you really want to take white out of his comfort zone, the English Defense is the only line of the ones mentioned above that white is not likely to be thoroughly prepared for. White will certainly have plans against the Nimzo, the Benoni, and probably the Dutch as well, but maybe if you really know your theory in the English Defense, you may be able to catch white a bit off-guard. Then again, it's quite eccentric and some of the lines are of highly questionable soundness.
