4 player chess....when did it start?

Hey all....I really am starting to like this game. Can anybody tell me how long its been around? Also I would like to know more about teams...strategies....where I can get a four player board and pieces..on line discussions ect.

No wonder I like it...I have for heads myself

Not sure what country you are in?  I'm in Canada and I found 4 Player Chess boards on Amazon.ca and Ebay.ca (they are also on Amazon.com and Ebay.com).  Canadian sites are ".ca" and American are ".com" just in case you are wondering what the difference is.

If you can order items from Amazon from your country then I would suggest looking there.  Looks like they sell through 3rd parties on Amazon and most likely ship from China.  Looks like an inexpensive board in terms of quality and build, but I think it would be fun to have in your collection.
