a blunder is a blinder. it is a great mistake, amistake is perhaps not making your best move, blunder and mistakes leads one to losing a game.it is very costly to make erratic moves. i am just wondering how a mistake that is commited may also lead to untested grounds s quares for further exploitation, trial and error also has its benefit to learning perfection.,and improving ones skill of handling chess pieces.

Well my friend, lets look at it this way, there are people that work on tall buildings, (skyscrapers). if they make a mistake, it will be there last because they will be no more! But if you or I make a mistake (playing chess), well we can laugh it off or be upset, either way nothing that cannot be forgiven, and we will be fortunate enough to see another sunrise & sunset.....

Yes, test it in a low risk environment (chessdotcom is a low risk environment, is it not?).
When I have to choose between 2 move options, the first option is safe and solid while the second option could easily be wrong, simply by knowing that it is not a common way a GM handle such position (from studying of openings and GM games), but then there is a question: what could be the problem of choosing the second option? Try it and learn from it (Using engine is a less risk option, but the chance to know is right there in front of your eyes)
