A Place to Play Chess in London

Hello, does any one know some places (parks, libraries, coffee shops...) in Central London, where you can go and always find some chess players?

Would love to join London's chess community as well. S. 

Have you tried any of the university clubs?

No, do you know any university clubs open for publick? 

Search "Drunken Knights chess club" and "King's Head chess club".

There are a lot of chess clubs. Other than that I don't know. I don't know/never seen anybody playing chess in public like they (supposely) do in NY.

I'm a member of one chess club, but I would love to find the place where I could go to have some friendly games anytime I want... I didn't see public chess here as well.

You can play chess in Holland Park. In the outside/inside cafe just near Holland Park Opera. I play there from time to time :)

try the london chess  meetup (google it) one, i've been coming here on Saturday mornings 11am ish onward and sometimes on Thurs early evenings, 6pm - 9pm. there's usually enough various level players to keep you coming back. its indoors, sit down at tables,  and facilities for coffee etc . its informal and friendly---- oh yeah, its at Elephant and Castle
