Up 15 points, what's that queen + rook lol? I dunno if that's enough
A way to vastly improve bullet chess

Since the competition I have been playing a ton of bullet chess. Over 3500 games in the past month.
Over that time period I realized something that would make Bullet chess a much better game. The player wins the game if they are up 15 points in pieces.
Too many players at the lower levels simply throw pieces with reckless abandon just to throw off the player. It's all about flagging the player. I have done it myself on occasion.
But here's the thing. Intentional trash play would be cut down dramatically.
Will my idea happen? Will an idea similar to this ever happen? Nope. But I'm certain that Bullet chess would be a better game if this was put into place.
Just my 2 cents.
This is why, in my opinion, bullet chess is the worst kind of chess. There's almost no skill in it and most of the time it's the fastest player that wins.

I actually did that when i was 1900/2000
It was an experiment and i failed miserably
I find my losses by time but in winning positions or without obvious blunders at beginning to be more satisfying results

Is it because you tilted in bullet lol
anyways I do agree with you though, I just stopped playing bullet.
disagree with OP… that’s how bullet is. Don’t play it if you don’t like it, clock management is on you.
My post is one of frustration. I just don't know what to do. My bullet rating is a dismal 484 at the moment. As far as percentile ranking that is 21.12%.
My Blitz is 962 and my percentile rank is 67.2%
So, this basically means is two thirds of my losses are to opponents that I would beat in Blitz.
How bad is it? In the past week I am 42 wins 16 losses against players in the 300 rating range. I am struggling against 300 players.
Last week I saw an 800 bullet player complaining how he can't get by Nelson the 1300 rated bot. I have no problem getting by Nelson.
So, I am getting hammered by players that overall are worse than me at the game of chess.
Because of the competition I have been playing mainly bullet. I decided today to play 3 minute blitz. On the second game I beat someone rated 1114.
Usually when I lose, I am up in pieces for minute bullet.
But since I am still in this $50,000 competition I grind away at this minute bullet chess. Constantly getting beaten by people I have a clear advantage over when time expires.
I have heard people say that give it time, and the higher rated player in Blitz and Rapid will learn Bullet, and their ratings will adjust. For the most part, that is completely untrue.

I fail to understand how anyone under master level enjoys bullet. It's too fast to make any sort of plan, even a dubious one.

disagree: i'm 1950 bullet & my 'plans' are usually 1 or 2 moves ahead thoughts... it's more than enough to focus on general strategic principles, time management, TACTICS & tricky pre-move traps when you're down. 🙂

You don’t necessarily have to have a “plan” all the time to enjoy the game. It’s enough to make reasonable looking moves fast and finding tactics quickly.
sorry friend but if your blitz isn't even 1000 you stand zero chance of placing in the $.
But I am advancing to Elite. All I need is one more advancement, and I am getting $200. And I have two different weeks to do that since Champion won't be full for two weeks.
Zero chance seems pretty strong considering I am at the league before the money league.

good luck friend, apologies...
blitz seems to be the best time control for racking up trophies in my opinion, especially if you're starting to tilt in the bullet games.
what i meant is that it would be likely impossible to enter legends league at your level: don't know the particulars of the prize conditions, though.
i got the stone trophy to match my avatar, flair & metal background & got out of there! 😆
