The logic is: "You had a HUGE army, and you STILL failed to checkmate him". So you only get a half point.
[actual noob here] how is this a draw?

you re opponent is not currently in check but has no legal move. if he moves his king he is in check, so not legal. = draw

how about read the actual definition of a stalemate, and realize that calling it a stalemate is completely retarded?
"The logic is that you can't win the game without threatening the enemy king"
..................... ok? so?

away from what is logic and what its not it more fun this way
otherwise my opponent will just resign and not fight for the stalemate

You're not alone. There is at least one GM who is angry about stalemate being a draw.
His rant goes something like this. Picture an exasperated man with flailing arms.
It's your turn to move. You can't move. You should lose on time. Go ahead, hit your clock when you make a move and we can continue. I'll wait. Exactly, you can't because there is no move. You lose. How is this the same as an impotent king versus king position? It's not.
He does admit that it would change a lot of aspects in the game, and perhaps not for the better.

Do you want to play chess or some other game in which you decide the rules ?
Your choice
The point of stalemate is that you are supposed to move every turn. By making stalemate end in a draw it makes chess more interesting/complex. If you. want examples look at common endgame defensive tactics, especially relating to queen vs pawn on 7th rank with king next to it, queen side to move.

If I recall correctly, stalemate used to be treated as a victory for the player that forced it (white in your example), but was changed to a draw sometime in the 1800s.

It is A stalemate because it is blacks turn to play and has no legal squares to go to so it is declared a draw

How about you read the actual definition of stalemate and quote the one that supports you. Here are several that I just read:
Definition: A situation in which further action is blocked; a deadlock.
Analysis: This describes your position. And note it is not a chess-specific definition.
Definition: A drawing position in chess in which the king, although not in check, can move only into check and no other piece can move.
Analysis: This describes your position. Of course this one is chess-specific.
Definition: A drawn contest. Deadlock.
Analysis: This describes your position. And is not chess-specific.
Definition: A situation in which neither side can win or obtain an advantage and no action can be taken.
Analysis: this describes your position. And is not-chess specific.
There are MANY others. To my own surprise, I couldn't even find one example that favors your point.

Oh man...didn't notice that. Wouldn't have bothered.

so i feel pretty dumb rn, because it seems to me that whatever move the enemy king plays, i kill him... yet the game says it's a stalemate?
again this is literally my second game ever so sorry if i'm missing something
E: okay so i just checked the rules of the stalemate... why the $%$& does it end in a draw? i've litterally just forced my enemy to surrender, obviously it should be a victory for me. what an insanely stupid rule.
When your king or the enemy king can't make a move it's a tie
