Addicted to chess

Chess has a unique ability to captivate people with its strategic depth and intellectual challenges.

For me, chess has always been a game of highs and lows. I'll get really obsessed for a while, and then I'll drop to nearly nothing, and this has been going on for 60 years. So, yes, it certainly can be addictive, but it's also tremendous fun, and it's one of the rare addictions that can really improve your mind. Just don't start ignoring your job, your loved ones, your diet, your exercise, your sleep, or your hygiene. Then, as with all addictions, you might have a problem.
